DDU 2018: Day 2

July 28, 2018

'Hey, it's Nick from the Southern Cross Regional last year!'

'Wow it's you Redbacks people again!'

Day 2 of Duel Down Under was definitely action packed! Some minor issues with both robots once again hindered progress however we didn't let that spoil the fun!

With two robots on the match schedule it was definitely a lot more hectic, as well as reduced time between each competing match. Although some climbs were missed and the robots required repairs the overall competition atmosphere was still around, with plenty of work for our mechanical team and scouting students to do. Autonomous was also touched upon however the offseason event was more centralised to enjoying the company of other robotics teams

Rankings at the end of today's matches sees 4613 in 7th and Sid sitting in a very respectable 12th place. Couple more matches tomorrow to (hopefully) boost our rankings a little!

Great to see plenty of new teams and multiple schools entering two teams into the event, can't believe robots have taken over Australia since the introduction of the first ever Australian Regional in 2015!

Keep watching the FIRST Australia DDU livestream tomorrow at team4613.org/live for the rest of the qualification matches, alliance selection and playoffs tomorrow!
